Alive, Made New

variation and return

rain melts snow

cold puddles pooling, grass is revealed

a crow, one crow, interrupts the rain

gone are the little birds

i have tucked notes in books, in boxes, under my bed

strewn them to the wind, sewn them on string

tattered, i hold in my hand one that says remember

i make plans, imagine a different way it could be

some things need to be plugged in to use

you can shape your breath

hold awareness in multiple places simultaneously

even when unaware things are affecting each other

tension and release

in an instant you are propelled through

alive, made new

for now

what has already occurred is hurtling towards us

i sit before this fire ignited by last nights coals

i am learning to learn
