A Golden Thread

You set yourself up for quiet.

You bring something to reflect upon.

A golden thread.

Wisdom carried down, carried through as gift to all.

Your mind is clear.

You practice clear mind.

A sense of awake receptivity.

You sit here alert.

You walk here alert.

You pick up your pen here, alert.

You feast here alert.

This is a way.

You read wisdom, this gift given to you.

You turn it over in your mouth.

You speak it in sentences formed from your tongue.

You identify inherent structure of what you are paraphrasing.

You taste what fastens to your heart.

Fear not.

You carry this with you through the day into night.
