There are those keeping vigil offering prayers to the heavens. Lifted through our sky turned pink from everything burning, through tear gas and sirens and cries.

They turn the intersection holy where George Floyd was lynched, by not one or two, but four officers of the law.

They proclaim what is stronger, no hands in their pockets. Instead carrying flowers, they leave signs calling for justice. They offer food to the hungry, hold space for the weary and testify to what is right when so much is extremely astray.
